Now add 1 tablespoon of sugar and wait for 5 to 6 minutes. You can also add brown sugar but if you have too much sugar then it will burn the onions and garlic. After the required time is passed, turn the heat off and put a lid on the pan. It will take 10 to 12 minutes for the caramelization to happen.
